CELEBRATION OF HAROLD’S LIFE SERVICE: 11:00 a.m. Friday, April 1, 2016 at Pulliam Funeral Home, Oblong, IL with Bro. Dee Wolfe officiating.  Burial will follow in the Oblong Cemetery, Oblong, IL.

Harold L. “Bud” Harris, 90, Oblong, IL formerly of Willow Hill, IL passed away at 7:18 a.m. Sunday, March 27, 2016 at Ridgeview Care Center in Oblong, IL.

Harold was born on March 4, 1926 in Jasper County, IL and was the son of Irvin Harris and Agnes (Michl) Harris.  On May 16, 1949 he married Mary E. Ochs and they later divorced.

Harold was a lifelong farmer in Jasper County, IL.  He attended Oblong schools and was of the Catholic faith.

Harold is survived by two daughters and a son-in-law, Anita and Richard Kocher, Oblong, IL and Carol Baley-Traitor of Lakeland, FL; a son and two daughters-in-law, Robert and Kathryn Harris, Milton, FL and Sue Harris, Willow Hill, IL; nine grandchildren Michelle Shepston, Michael Harris, Mark Harris, Valerie Hermann, Janette Rosborough, Lori Davis, Mary Jo, Aarika Harris, and Chris Clark and Melissa Bojanowski; twenty six great-grandchildren and a sister-in-law Monica Harris, Hardinville, IL as well as several nieces and nephews.

Preceding Harold in death were his parents; a son Paul Harris; two brothers and a sister-in-law Gene and Mary Harris, and Frank Harris; five sisters Edna Yetter, Esther Cox, Berniece Henry, Belva Yetter and Ida Mouser.
